The Associated Press reported yesterday that Mike Huckabee, a possible Republican presidential candidate in 2012, says the effort to allow gays and lesbians to marry is comparable to legalizing incest, polygamy and drug use (Source:http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/04/13/politics/main6392066.shtml).
It's amazing to us that IDIOTS like Huckabee is still considered worthy of Presidential material. He's a hateful, nasty, bigoted, religious whack-job who needs to crawl back in his hole.
SO, it's OKAY that Larry King is filing for divorce for the 8th time. He married 7 different women "for life" (once he married again after divorcing her). Liz Taylor has been married eight times, most recently to construction worker Larry Fortensky, whom she divorced in 1996. Now, she's engaged to a 49 year old.
IT'S "CHRISTIAN" that Republican So. Carolina Governor Mark Sanford was divorced after a year long affair with a mistress in Argentina. SC Local News.com says "Governor Sanford lied and stated that he was hiking the Appalachian Trail to cover his trip to see his extra-marital lover. Governor Sanford has paid $140,000 in regard to those lies for State Ethics violations. Governor Sanford has stated that his mistress his is soul mate."
DID YOU KNOW? The divorce statistics of Republicans vs. Democrats are surprising. Republicans base their campaign on the sacred institution of marriage but statistics show that this political party has a higher divorce rate. (I looked it up, and YOU should, too). SO, why do Republicans love to hate gay people who want committed marriages? I guess it's because gay people are more likely to get married because they really, really want to get married, and we make the GOP look bad in their marriages.
A KICKER- This has nothing to do with gay marriage, but with people who suffer from a life-threatening illness (that Huckabee thinks is a "gay disease"). Huckabee said "He also advocated isolating AIDS patients from the general public, saying it was necessary to confine "carriers of this plague."" Now THAT'S CHRISTIAN COMPASSION (Not!)! (Anyone that votes for this hateful idiot should their head examined).
