I love reading mysteries with pets in them, and recently enjoyed "Groomed for Murder" (A Pet Boutique Mystery) by Annie Knox. Previously I read the first book in the series called "Paws for Murder" and it was equally as enjoyable. The lead character, Izzy McHale owns and manages a pet boutique in a small Minnesota town. She's surrounded by great characters, her co-worker Rena, her Aunt Dolly, a next door shop owner that wants to close her down, a rival pet store owner, 2 possible romantic interests and many others. The characters make the mystery, and this will keep you guessing. Izzy defies Jack, the detective, and conducts her own investigation. It's a fun read!
