So Much Stupidity in 1 Day!

I know there are people who voted for Donald Trump to take the presidency because they wanted a  change. Well, so many bad things have happened in the U.S. and on the world stage as a result of him and his presidency, that I have to wonder how many have realized what they've done. In addition to isolating the U.S. from all of its allies (like Germany, France, Canada, Mexico, etc.), and toying with Nuclear War in North Korea, just Friday, Dec. 1, there were several things that should make ANY U.S. Citizen angry. Here's the list:

1) TRUMP SET TO GUT 2 PROTECTED UTAH MONUMENTS ON MONDAY
 Bears Ears National Monument would lose its name, be cut by 85 percent and be split into two smaller sites, documents show. President Donald Trump will travel to Utah on Monday — a state where lawmakers are known for attacking public lands — to announce sweeping cuts to a pair of protected national monuments there. The boundary of Bears Ears National Monument, a 1.35 million-acre area named after a pair of buttes and home to thousands of Native American archeological and cultural sites, will shrink by 85 percent, according to a pair of proclamations first reported on by The Washington Post.. The 1.87 million-acre Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, the largest land national monument in the country, will be cut roughly in half, according to the documents.

2) TRUMP HAS REPORTEDLY URGED SENATE REPUBLICANS TO END THE SENATE RUSSIA PROBE   They said no. Over the summer, President Donald Trump contacted Senate Republicans multiple times, urging them to end the Senate’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, according to The New York Times. A half-dozen lawmakers and aides told the Times that the president had asked several senators to quickly end the investigation ― including Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), who is leading the Senate Intelligence Committee’s Russia investigation, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Intelligence Committee member Roy Blunt (R-Mo.).  ***Sounds Like Obstruction of Justice Again***

3) TRUMP'S FORMER NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISORY PLEADS GUILTY OF LYING TO FBI - Former national security adviser Michael Flynn was charged with making a false statement to the FBI about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. It marks another development in the Wash Post article on Flynn Guilty Plea  *Corruption at the Top of the Administration

4) RUSSIAN TROLLS REPORTEDLY LINKED CLINTON TO FAKE NEWS ABOUT SATANIC RITUALS
"Hundreds of thousands of fake social media messages generated by an army of Russian trolls during last year’s presidential campaign spewed racism, inflamed conflict in American society and falsely linked Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and associates to satanism and satanic rituals in an effort to influence the outcome of the election."

8 Things Everyone Needs to Know About Federal Happenings this Week

Can you find anything good in these things? 
For everyone who wants to understand what's happening with the "transition of power" in Washington, DC to the new adminstration, here are the facts on this past week's events. Each of these has links to the news sources, in case you have any doubts. It's difficut to see how any of these things are in the public good.


The federal week in review: Week of January 2, 2017.
 
1. Trump fires all Ambassadors and Special Envoys, ordering them out by inauguration day. Normally, they have always been given a grace period.
2. House brings back the Holman rule allowing them to reduce an individual civil service, SES positions, or political appointee's salary to $1, effectively firing Federal employees by amendment to any piece of legislation. We now know why they wanted names and positions of people in Energy and State.
3. Ethics  office accuses GOP of rushing Trump Cabinet confirmations - Senate schedules 6 simultaneous hearings on cabinet nominees and triple-books those hearings with Trump's first press conference in months and an ACA budget vote, effectively preventing any concentrated coverage or protest.
4. House GOP expressly forbids the Congressional Budget Office from reporting or tracking ANY costs related to the repeal of the ACA.  So the costs cannot be tracked.
5. Trump continued to cast doubt on the intelligence community under the bus to protect Putin, despite the growing mountain of evidence that the Russians deliberately interfered in our election.
6. Trump breaks a central campaign promise to make Mexico pay for the wall by asking Congress (in other words, the U.S. taxpayers) to pay for it.
7. -Donald Trump just threatened Toyota — but it looks like he got the facts wrong
Trump threatens Toyota over a new plant that was never coming to the US nor will take jobs out of the US.
8. Suspending the Rules: How Congress Plans to Undermine Public Safety - The House passes the REINS act, giving them veto power over any rules enacted by any federal agency or department--for example, FDA or EPA bans a drug or pesticide, Congress can overrule based on lobbyists not science. Don't like that endangered species designation, Congress kills it.
