Peter Abrecht is a Maryland author whom passed in the last several years. He penned a nice cozy mystery series about two retirees named James Dandy and his girlfriend Dodee Swisher (who loves to draw) and together on various excursions with other retirees, they find themselves in a murder mystery. They are all light-hearted and well done. I love the main characters and this is the second book I've read in the series (the first I reviewed earlier called "Painted Lady.") - If you're retiring or retired, you'll really relate to these and enjoy them! The latest is Killing Thyme and involves a trip to Baltimore to meet chefs- and some wind up dead during the visit. Really enjoyable book!
ABOUT THE BOOK: Senior citizen James P. Dandy and his lady friend, Dodee Swish, do not expect their second trip to a Baltimore, Maryland, elderhostel class to be filled with the murder and mayhem of their previous bonsai class, but they find they are quite wrong when chefs start dying all around them.
