Photos: Decorating the House for Christmastime!

The day after Thanksgiving we decorated the house for Christmas. Well, Tom did. Since he has a flair for design (and I have no taste), he set up the outdoor and indoor decorations. Today's blog has some of the photos of the decorations.

We bought some pine boughs and Tom laced them with lights (our first year with outside lights!) and draped them outside the den (former garage) and the front door of the house.

Fortunately, the day Tom put up the outside decorations, the temperature was about 55 degrees Fahrenheit (12.7 Celsius) so it was comfortable!

INSIDE TREE - Inside we put up our pre-lit, narrow Christmas tree and Tom decided on uniform color ornaments, so he decorated it. (Don't buy us ornaments, please... all the ornaments are the same color).

SPECIAL MEMORIAL DOG SPIRIT TREE -  We do have a small tree that I call "Sprite's Tree" - to honor our Dachshund who passed in 2013. Sprite's tree is now also Sprite's, Dolly's, Franklin's, and Buzz's tree, since they have all passed.  There are little Dachshunds and Weimaraner ornaments that adorn the table-top tree and because I like ornaments of different colors, those are on it, too!
