Our
(almost) 8 year old Dachshund Franklin is recovering from dental surgery
that he had yesterday. I (Rob) noticed that he wasn't allowing me to
brush his teeth on one side and he ate on the other side, so I checked
his teeth (he's good about letting me do that). Turned out his tooth was
cracked. When we took him to the vet she looked more closely and saw it
was split in half and had to be removed. SO, Thursday he went in for
surgery. - He did okay, but his little heart slowed while under
anesthesia, so we have to be mindful of that next time. He was really
groggy when he came home, but still managed to run out in the backyard
to check for squirrels when he came home, ate some soft food and zonked
out. Here are some pictures from his adventure from start to finish.
