So Cool! THE FLASH comes to TV this fall- (Extended Trailer) !!

As a HUGE DC Comics superhero fan, I am so excited to hear that the CW Network is bringing the world's fastest superhero to TV.  It won't be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become. Don't miss The Flash, coming Tuesdays on the CW Network.
 - CW remade Green Arrow (ARROW) into one of the best shows on television - and brought so much depth to the character.  Now, they're going to do the same with the Flash.
Nicknamed the Scarlet Speedster and the "Crimson Comet" all incarnations of the Flash possess "super speed", which includes the ability to run and move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes and seemingly violate certain laws of physics.  (More about the FLASH: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_%28comics%29)
(BTW- Remember the FLASH in a live action television series in 1990, starring John Wesley Shipp.? I do! I have them on DVD!!)

NBC’s ‘Constantine’ TV Show! ‘Clings More Closely to the Source Material’

Some of you may remember the movie called "Constantine" from the 1990s, that featured Keanu Reeves as a working-class magician, occult detective, and con man stationed in London. He is known for his endless cynicism, deadpan snarking, ruthless cunning, and constant chain smoking, but is also a passionate humanist driven by a heartfelt desire to do some good in his life. NOW, NBC TV is working on a television series about this occult detective!  I   read the comics and love them!  Looking forward to it, since this article indicates they're sticking to the comics! - Rob

NBC’s ‘Constantine’ ‘Clings More Closely to the Source Material’

Work on NBC’s Constantine pilot is well under way, and according to writer/executive producer David S. Goyer, the television series will have much more in common with its comic-book roots than the Keanu Reeves film did.
In an interview with I Am Rogue, Goyer discussed the work on the pilot — which, by this point, will have begun filming — and teased a bit of what fans of the character can expect.
“He will have his signature trench coat and skinny tie. I would say that the show clings more closely to the sourse material then the film did. Even though the film was interesting,” he said. “Quite a few other characters from the comic books and possibly from the DC Universe should we move forward will be showing up. … I think we would try to bring in some of the other occult figures.”
As to whether Constantine will be sporting his signature cigarette, the executive producer said it was a “tricky” proposition for network television, but that the team was “negotiating.” Goyer also stated that one more actor — beyond star Matt Ryan and supporting actors Harold Perrineau, Charles Halford and Lucy Griffiths — has yet to be announced as a character from the comics.
INTERVIEW: IAR managing editor Jami Philbrick speaks exclusively with writer/executive producer David S. Goyer about his work on the TV pilot for 'Constantine,' which is based on the popular DC Comics occult character.

Tudors Ends Well/Jonah Hex Movie Not Doing Well

The Tudors TV Series Finale - Last night we enjoyed the finale of the Tudors. It has been running on Showtime for 4 seasons, and last night the series ended with King Henry VIII on the verge of death. This episode (in Rob's opinion) was the best of all of them. It had Henry VIII coming to an understanding of his life's actions, and wrongful execution of several of his wives. It was well done. We now recommend watching the movies "Elizabeth" and "Elizabeth the Golden Age" to follow the story.
(BTW-The woman who played "Bloody Mary" in the Tudors was convincing. I despised her nasty character. Glad to hear she only ruled England a short time. She was nasty!)

Warner Bros.' "Jonah Hex" big-screen adaptation of the DC Comics series starring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox is apparently not tracking well with audiences, much to my (Rob's) disappointment. I thought the movie was good and entertaining. The movie made $5 million this weekend, but cost $47 million to produce. "Jonah Hex" is a western about a bounty hunter who believes in justice. Granted the weapon he's trying to stop is unrealistic for post-civil war times, but it's a movie!
