MAINE TRIP: Jeff & Jose Reception: Day 1: Rehearsal

Jeff and Jose practicing for the ceremony
The weekend of Aug. 31-Sept. 2, we went to Portland, Maine to take part in our friends Jeff and Jose's wedding reception. They got legally married in Washington, D.C. on June 9th, and had a big reception on Peaks Island, Maine over Labor Day Weekend. It was wonderful!
 - They had a cocktail reception the night before at Bull Feeney's Pub in downtown Portland, Maine, and it was full of friends and family. Our friend Laureen drove up from Portsmouth, NH (90 minutes each way) just to wish them well that evening, and had to drive back that night for work the next morning. That's just one example of how friends stand by Jeff and Jose and come from distances. Many came from New York, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and other places. Jeff's family lives in Maine, so they were all there, too.
 - The reception was on Peaks Island, Maine, about a 15 minute ferry ride from Portland, Maine - and a nice ride. The island is like something from Cape Cod. The "ceremony" part went well. I (Rob) was the "master of ceremonies" and Tom took photos of the event.   Here are some photos!
