In Memory of our Friend Les (Passed Oct. 2018)

Our friend Les passed in Oct. 2018
On Oct. 11, 2018. our friend Les passed away. Rob has known Les for about 20 years, and Tom for  14 years. We always enjoyed meeting Les for breakfast and talking about work, dogs, horses and more.  On the weekends, Les enjoyed riding his horse, Sierra (who passed some years ago) and his latest horse, PRC Real Gold at Rodeos and Barrel races. He won several awards and was well-known in the horse event circuit around the U.S.

He grew up in Missouri and got his degree at the University of Missouri.

In his work in the government, he managed a lot of projects and he and Tom used to talk about building projects. Les was driven and was a hard worker. He went through a tough time on one job but found a wonderful place to work over the last several years. He kept talking about his retirement and when he passed suddenly, he was 3 years away from retirement. But he was driven and dedicated to his work.

We will truly miss our friend Les, and our
Panera bread weekend breakfasts. Every time we see a horse, we'll know he's around in spirit.

We attended a memorial service for Les in early November, where we met his twin brother (who resides in Florida). It was uncanny to see his brother... but we know Les was there, too, in spirit.
