VIDEO: 9/11 Salty & Omar - Dog Saves Blind Man

While I was researching a video about dogs and intelligence for my upcoming book "Pets and the Afterlife" I came across this short video of an amazing story of a guide dog who saved his blind parent during the Sept. 11, 2001 attack in New York City.    This is an amazing video of dog intelligence and loyalty:
9/11 Salty & Omar - Dog Saves Blind Man
From Allison Argo's film "9/11: Where Were You?" for National Geographic, the story of Omar and his beloved guide dog Salty is a powerful testament to the love and trust between two old friends. Blind from an early age, Omar was on the 71st floor of the World Trade Center when American flight #11 slammed into the North Tower. His guide dog Salty managed to get them to safety before the building collapsed.  Salty was trained by Guiding Eyes for the Blind: http://www.guidingeyes.org/
