Rico even a YEAR after Hurricane Maria damaged the island, was still not getting any endorsements by the GOP. 

On May 8, 2019  Help For Puerto Rico was stalled in the GOP held Senate 

    Negotiations meant to provide more than $10 billion in disaster relief to hurricane-stricken and flooded areas of Puerto Rico have continued to stall in the Senate this week as the White House has continued to resist Democratic efforts to increase aid for the territory.
