One of the great benefits of living in New England in the fall is experiencing Apple picking in nearby orchards, as well as pick your own pumpkins, corn, blueberries, strawberries, etc. In early October we ventured to a nearby orchard and got apples and met some animal friends!
Spiller Farms has been around for generations in Wells, Maine. Anne and Bill Spiller run the farm, and the U-pick dates run from June through late October.

GENERAL STORE ON SITE - That carries Apple Cider Donuts fresh everyday and Cider from Spiller Farm Apples. Spillers' Farm Store also has beef, pork, chicken and eggs, pizza, sandwiches, drinks, Spiller Farm produce in season, pet food, and a lot more.

APPLE ORCHARDS GO ON AND ON - The orchards were large and we went on a day during the week at about 1pm when there were less people. In fact, I managed to get this photo of the entire row of apple trees with no one in sight (just the way Tom likes it). :)
