Heroes of the Week: Prince George's County Maryland Firefighters Free a Fawn

Firefighters are heroes and they're asked to do a lot of different things. This week's heroes are firemen from Maryland who were called to help free a fawn stuck in a fence!

Fawn Trapped In Fence Rescued By Prince George's Firefighters

PATCH NEWS, Aug 27, 2024

A fawn trapped in a wrought iron fence was rescued Friday by Prince George's firefighters and reunited with her mom.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Firefighters from Station 842 in Oxon Hill helped rescue a fawn who was trapped in a wrought iron fence near their fire station Friday.

Firefighters were able to calm the baby, who was uninjured, and set it free. The fawn scampered off to its momma, who was watching the action closely from the nearby woods.
