Attention Travelers to Haiti, Romania, China and London, U.K.

If you're traveling over the holidays, use some caution. Three countries were in the news about
different conditions there that you should be aware of. They include violence in Haiti, poor air quality in Romania and China, and violence in London, England. Here's the scoop:

DANGEROUS LONDON   (12-12-18) - The number of killings in London has reached the highest number for a decade. The fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man in Eltham on Tuesday night, Dec. 11, 2018 has meant there have been 130 homicides in the capital since 1 January. The figure, which includes murders and manslaughters, is the highest number since 2008 when there were 154 deaths in a year.

Pollution in China

CHINA KNOWN FOR POOR AIR QUALITY, A LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH - According to the Chinese Ministry of Health, industrial pollution has made cancer China's leading cause of death. Every year, ambient air pollution alone killed hundreds of thousands of citizens. 500 million people in China are without safe and clean drinking water. China consumes almost as much coal annually as all other countries combined, and coal burning in the country is the biggest source of both air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, the leading cause of climate change. Chinese cities are among the most polluted in the world.
