Our Friend Nina in "Nightwatch" at Local Theatre

Rob, Tom and Nina (playing Helga the German maid)
On Sunday, March 12 we enjoyed a live performanceof Lucille Fletcher's murder mystery called
"Nightwatch"  in the Bowie Playhouse theater. Our friend Nina, who is a multi-talented actress and singer (and former NASA employee) played "Helga the maid" in this production.
Nina is one amazing talent. Her facial expressions, body language and the way she puts herself 110% into the characters always make her so much fun to watch, and she was truly entertaining in "Nightwatch" (as she is in everything). All of the actors and actresses were enjoyable and the surprise ending really made the story.

The Story of "Nightwatch":
The play takes unexpected twists and turns,
First presented in February 1972 at the Moresco Theater in New York, "Night Watch" is set in mid-Manhattan's East 30s. There, in an elegant, remodeled brownstone, the well-to-do couple, John and Elaine Wheeler, look out from the enormous window of their sitting room onto an abandoned tenement building across the way. Through the window, Elaine, a wealthy modern-art collector, sees a dead man in the building across the way; later, she sees a dead woman in the same place.
After crying wolf calls to the police, all to no avail, and a visit from a psychiatrist, Elaine may be on the verge of a breakdown. From this point on, the plot moves quickly. Elaine's friend and house guest Blanche, the inquisitive man who lives next door, the nosy German maid Helga - all contribute to the deepening suspense and mystery of the play as it draws towards its riveting and chilling climax.
