Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York has sent a letter to President Barack Obama warning of "a national conflict between church and state of enormous proportions," if Obama does not retreat from his opposition to the Defense of Marriage Act. These Catholic Bishops need to keep OUT of POLITICS. *OR be taxed to the HILT.* Gay marriage is a civil right. Gay people are not asking to get married in churches. This is not a church issue.
This is a CIVIL RIGHT. I'm fed up with churches interfering with civil rights. I'm so tired of people using their belief in religion to promote violence, hatred, inequality. Just look at the news.
This country is not governed by one religion, nor should it be. Obviously this bishop didn't read the law that there must be separation between church and state. DOMA must fall. Period.
